Defining your Business Values is not a suggestion … organizational values represent what is expected of the business behaviors, and guides its decision and actions.
Core values may not be perfect, but they bring value to how a business represents itself, how it operates, and if well thought out and internalized, give the business a competitive advantage in the space it operates in.
Core values being an expression of the business should represent its best version. What is your picture of success? Your values should mirror, and express that.
