
John Chihi’
John Chihi will oversee the Planning and Execution of the Communication Strategies at Brand Integrated Consulting LLP.
He has a wealth of experience in designing and executing Strategic Communication Plans in both the public and private sectors in East Africa. His strength is in the ability to combine these plans with marketing foresight to achieve set targets. He also has the ability to work and motivate a diverse team to achieve set objectives.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics and Sociology from the University of Nairobi and an Advanced Diploma in Sales and Marketing from the Association of Sales and Marketing Executives (ASME-London).
John has excellent knowledge and working relationship with the media in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. He previously worked as a business journalist with the Nation Media Group for the regional paper The East African and Daily Nation. He also worked at The East African Standard, supplements sections, selling advertising features ideas to generate revenue.
His relevant project experience includes Uganda Breweries Ltd, MTN, Kenya Commercial Bank, Barclays and Equity Bank, CMC, ICEA Group and AON.
He is currently the Country Manager and Lead Consultant for the MEDIAGE PR Limited established in 2003 in Uganda. In his current role, he has serviced several blue chip companies including Coca-Cola, Hima Cement (Bamburi-Larfarge), Emirates Airlines, Unga Limited, EAFCA, AAR Health Services and Uganda Government projects in key Ministries and Agencies such as the Medium Term Competitiveness Strategy for the Private Sector (MTCS) and the Micro Finance Outreach programmes under the Ministry of Finance, The Uganda Programme for Trade Opportunities and
Policy (UPTOP), UNDER Ministry of Trade and Industry, NEPAD and PEAP assignments. He previously worked in the position of Accounts Director at Tellem PR EA Limited, a subsidiary of MCL Saatchi and Saatchi, where he was responsible for servicing and sustain business with key clients among them, East Africa.
John’s key attributes are responsibility, commitment, eye for detail, timely and quantifiable output.
