
Tom Sitati
Tom Sitati MCIM Chartered Marketer, is a Partner at Brand Integrated Consulting Limited. He has responsibilities for both revenue generation as well as brand strategy and communication solutions delivery. He was previously an Executive Director with Interbrand in East Africa.
Being a true all-round creative, he has trained and worked in graphic design, hair design, multimedia, web and brand design before his sojourn into strategic branding. He is one of the pioneer practitioners and commentators on strategic branding issues in the region and beyond where he has facilitated several workshops and spoken at various forums including the inaugural World Marketing Forum (WMF) in Accra, Ghana and Common Market for East and Southern Africa (COMESA) Business Summit in Nairobi, Kenya. Tom was invited to speak at the World Brand Congress in Mumbai, India in November 2011. Mr. Sitati has been both published and interviewed in various media including the Mail & Guardian and is the author of “It’s a Branded World” as well as “Brandly Speaking”. He has been an accredited coach with Enablis, a global entrepreneurship network and a mentor with University of Nairobi’s Greenhorn Mentorship program. He is a past National Chairman of the Marketing Society of Kenya where he previously served in four councils in various committee chairmanship capacities.
Tom’s academic qualifications include a Masters degree in New Media from the University of Leicester (UK), an Honours Degree in Architecture from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Marketing from the Marketing Society of Kenya. In 2011 Mr Sitati was honoured to be among the top 85 Kenyan male role models by Footprint Press in its coffee table book publication entitled “Life Journeys: Scaling Heights”. Most recently, he was honoured by Marketing Africa, the region’s leading marketing publication, by being inducted into the Distinguished Marketing Savant fraternity in 2012. He is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
A registered architect and chartered marketer. He is one of the pioneer strategic branding practitioners in Africa with close to 20 years of experience in developing some of the region’s biggest brands. Tom is an author, an urban sketch artist and a regular speaker at global events.
